BANGALORE: In the coming Lok Sabha elections, the party is likely to field candidates for the third generation of politically-motivated H.D.Deve Gowda’s family, which is likely to be the candidate of Nikhil Kumaraswamy from Mandya and Prajwal Revanna JDS from Mysore. CM Kumaraswamy retained his resignation in the last assembly election, saying he and his brother Revanna would not compete with any other family. But it is said that the bigger gourd has given a chance to win, the lack of competitive candidates and the third-generation ‘theatre’ in the face of pressure within the family. In the last Assembly polls, Mr. Prajwal Revanna did not want to be in favor of HD Revanna’s couple.
Deve Gowda, who had been conferred with the post of general secretary of state unit for disappointing Praswal, promised to build his successor in Hassan. That is, they were thinking of giving up the field to the grandson and retiring. But Deve Gowda is ready to re-contest from Hassan with new hope as part of the Congress-led alliance coalition. From this conclusion, grandson Prajwal wants to push Mysore away from risking danger. The JDS sources said that the field reconciliation calculation was intended to bring importance to the Third Front.
CM HD Kumaraswamy is also keen to introduce filmmaker Nikhil to politics. Nikhil, who has refused to do so, has faced a parliamentary election despite Kumaraswamy’s pressure to field for the Ramanagara Assembly constituency. CM Kumaraswamy, who is aware of the son’s mood, has said he has chosen the party-dominated Mandya district. Deve Gowda has come to the conclusion that the parliamentary election is a suitable platform for both the grandchildren’s entry into politics.
It has been revealed that the grandchildren are able to facilitate political access to the intention of making more seats. The counting of votes for the Election Commission for the by-elections in Ramanagara and Jamakhandi assembly constituencies has begun for the by-polls and the JDS-Congress alliance is sure to contest one seat each. CM Anita Kumaraswamy will contest from Ramanagara as JDS candidate from Jamakhandi constituency. Siddhu Namegowda’s son Anand Namegowda will be the Congress candidate. Zamkhandi was in the wake of the death of Siddi Namegowda. Anita Kumaraswamy is already in the field of Ramanagara and has also held a meeting of Muslim community leaders in Ramanagar last week. There were about 35,000 Muslim voters in the constituency, the last Congress candidate for the Congress.
CM Kumaraswamy and DCM Parameshwar held discussions in the forthcoming Assembly elections in a couple of days. At a private hotel two leaders met with a breakfast meeting. The Congress leaders have agreed to support Ramanagar JDS candidate and field his candidate in Jamkhandi. The PM is going to Delhi in the weekend and the AICC high command is visiting.
